The AMDA Foundation/Evercare® Awards recognize facilities for “improving the quality of life for persons living in nursing homes.” Awards of $10,000 each go to three facilities for their outstanding efforts and contributions. Types of programs might include patient safety initiatives, reduction of avoidable ER visits and acute hospitalizations, or improved consistency of staffing.  One of the three awards will be for improved advanced care planning and/or palliative care programs.
