Seasoned Octogenarian Donates to Art Auction |

 Vol XXX, Feb 07 Lou Shornick, a resident at the Saint Catherine's Village in Madison, MS, has been taking photographs for 80 of his 88 years. As an octogenarian and self-described artist, he was pleased to donate one of his works to the AMDA Foundations Art of Caring — Works of he'ART' Art Auction, set for Saturday, March 31 in Hollywood, FL (during the AMDA Annual Symposium). For his donation, Lou chose "a photo of a magnolia blossom seed head printed on canvas." He added, "This is the state flower of Mississippi." |

 Vol XXX, Feb 07 The AMDA Foundation always has a strong presence at the AMDA Annual Symposium that includes the Futures Program, Wall of Caring, and Art of Caring — Works of he'ART' Art Auction. Two educational sessions that will be offered on Saturday, March 31 are the Quality Improvement Awards: One Year Update (2:30 - 3:30 pm) and "Physician Inquiries Network: Generating Evidence-Based Answers for Daily Dilemmas" peer group roundtable discussion which is a new session this year. The three PIN editors will be present to discuss PIN and explain the processes of PIN (12:30 - 2:00 pm). |

Building this cadre of health care professionals who possess the essential leadership skills and understanding of promising innovations in geriatric care delivery will ensure that this country is prepared to meet the health care challenges of an expanding aged population. |
