Foundation Art Auction Attracts Attention of Artists, Celebrities and Others

Vol XXII, February `06 The "Art of Caring: Works of heART" art auction continues to build momentum and promises to be a popular and fun part of AMDA's Annual Symposium in Dallas next month. The auction, set for Friday, March 17, from 8-11 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Dallas, continues to attract artistic contributions and the attention of art lovers nationwide.

What inspires Pfizer Quality Improvement Award recipients and poster presenters? "I wanted to share the information from my study in a scientific, evidence-based format and get feedback from my peers on the topic. I chose the topic with a medical student who I was mentoring through an American Federation on Aging Research scholarship," said Julie Gammack, MD, whose 2005 award-winning topic was "Effects of Natural Light Therapy on Sleep in the Elderly."
