AMDA Foundation's Caring Canine Calender crew initiated the calendar project in June 2009 when it began encouraging long term care facilities around the country to submit a picture of their favorite Caring Canine along with a story.  We were delighted, if not surprised with the responses from over 60 long term care facilities around the country. We were happy that we were able to include each entry in the calendar, however we were not able to include the stories that each applicant submitted. 

We created this page to share these moving stories and photographs. Many thanks to all of the facilities that submitted such wonderful pictures and moving stories about the difference these dogs make in the lives of long term care residents and staff.
