Vol XXVIII, Oct `06 "I got a painting called 'Three Men at the Track,' and I have it hung above my pool table," said Dennis Stone, MD, CMD. "It was fun to see all the wonderful works of art and to spend money on a painting without feeling guilty. You get something nice, and you contribute to a worthy cause at the same time," he added. "The art auction is a great opportunity to socialize and support AMDA. And it's interesting to see what is donated by residents and physicians," stated Charles Crecelius, MD, CMD. "I got a unique photograph [Flowers 1 by AMDA member Mario Cornacchione], which I have displayed in my office. I get lots of compliments on it, and people appreciate it all the more when they hear the story behind it and how I obtained it at a charity auction," he noted. Many participants at last year's auction are excited about returning for a second helping of culture and camaraderie. If you missed last year's program, we urge you to come out this year and join your colleagues at next year's event. Watch this e-newsletter for further details. In the meantime, the AMDA Foundation is accepting donations for the auction. If you have items to contribute, contact Chris at the AMDA Foundation, 410-992-3134. |
