The 2006 AMDA Foundation Research Network Fall Conference is set for October 27-29 in Tampa, FL. In addition to study group/discussion group sessions and research updates, the meeting will feature programs focusing on patient education, including:
  • Methodological Issues in Studying Medication Errors in Long Term Care Facilities (Kenneth N. Barker, PhD, Director, Center for Pharmacy Operations and Designs, Auburn University)
  • Medication Errors and Adverse Drug Events in Long Term Care (Jerry Gurwitz, MD, AGSF, Professor, University of Massachusetts Medical School)
  • Patient Safety Issues in Long Term Care: The View from CMS (Paul McGann, MD, MS, CMS—invited)
