Foundation Sets Goal of 100% Research Network Profiles

The Research Network is working to build a central database that would enable us to link member information with Online Survey, Certification and Reporting (OSCAR) data. To maximize the benefit of this data for facilities and practitioners nationwide, we need Network members to complete a brief on-line profile survey. While we have received responses for two-thirds of our membership (226 profiles in total), our goal is to have profiles from all of our Network members by August 31, 2005. Having this information about Network members, their practices, and patients "allows them to participate in studies in a much more efficient way," said David Polakoff, MD. "Once we have this data in our system, we don't have to keep asking the same questions for each new study," he added.
