Vol XV, Jun `05 June 22, 2005 at the Sheraton in Columbia, MD. The Coalition is part of the AHRQ (LTC-QI Partnerships) grant established to provide input from long term care clinicians and researchers. This meeting represents an important opportunity to receive feedback, encourage idea exchanges, and brainstorm as a group about various questions and issues. The day-long program’s main purpose is to facilitate an active exchange of ideas, to work through issues common to all states involved, and to update coalition members about the LTC-QI study. Many issues related to the success of the AHRQ project are transferable. We also will be encouraging participants' input on best practices and future concepts. "We expect the meeting to be highly interactive and elicit active participation from all attendees," said Lorraine Tarnove.
The morning's agenda includes sharing of best practices, as well as discussions surrounding recruitment. Afternoon activities will include a discussion of sustainability and spread issues and sharing of valuable lessons learned from participants' experiences
