 Vol VII, Dec `03 The AMDA Foundation is pleased to announce the return of an exciting opportunity for residents and fellows who are interested in long term care practice: the Futures Program. Held during the AMDA Annual Symposium, this intensive learning experience was created to offer residents and fellows information on the numerous career opportunities available in long term care.
Participants chosen for this program will receive the following benefits:
- Admission to the AMDA Futures Program on March 4, 2004;
- Registration to the AMDA Annual Symposium March 4- 7, 2004 in Phoenix, Arizona;
- Transportation to and from the meeting in accordance with AMDA travel policies;
- Four nights' lodging from March 3-7, 2004 (to be shared with one Futures Program participant); and
- AMDA membership for one year, starting on the date of the annual symposium.
All PGY II or III Internal Medicine and Family Practice Residents and PGY IV or V Geriatric Medicine Fellows are eligible for the 2004 program (note: previous participants are not eligible).
The application deadline is January 7, 2004. To apply, applicants must forward an email or cover note containing the basic information noted online (link below), and attach a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and letter of interest (a typed paragraph, no more than 250 words, describing their interest in long term care practice and why they feel they would benefit from participating in the program).
