Vol VI, Sep `03
The AMDA Foundation LTC Research Network Conference provides an opportunity to identify three to five new Network studies. To help expedite the process and bring to the Conference fully developed proposals, the Research Network Steering Committee has approved a Request for Proposals (RFP), which contains guidelines regarding: Eligibility, Topic Selection; Literature Review; Methodology; Budget; and Timelines.

The RFP is available by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and will be posted to the AMDA Foundation's  website at www.amda.com/foundation. Please feel free to collaborate with other AMDA members in developing your submission.

We are particularly interested in proposals that address urinary incontinence, congestive heart failure, pressure ulcers, and stroke, although we will accept proposals in other areas as well. Please note: The Research Network currently will not approve any proposals related to clinical practice guideline implementation since we have a major CPG implementation study underway with the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality.

The deadline for research proposal submission is  October 24, 2003.

Please email your proposal to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and cc (send a copy to) This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it In the email subject line, kindly note "AMDAF Proposal for New Research Study."
