 Vol I, Aug `02 The first application is for a "small conference" grant to support, in part, the second annual research conference in Dallas on November 2nd and 3rd (see article at left). The second (considerably larger and more comprehensive) grant application is to provide infrastructure support for the Research Network. If approved, funds will be used for growth and development and will aid collaboration with other "emerging Practice-Based Research Networks" in addressing problems such as IRB issues, HIPAA concerns, and member recruitment and retention. In the third application, the Foundation submitted a proposal that teams AMDA and the Foundation with other key partners in the LTC arena to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of AMDA's CPGs in improving care and addressing performance gaps in the nursing facility setting. Validation of CPGs was among the Foundation's original mandates. |
