During the hot summer months, staying hydrated is a necessity for everyone—including our National Quality Coalition partners—and making fruit and yogurt smoothies is an innovative way to stay hydrated. Smoothies are a nutritious, fun summer activity, and can be customized for special diets.

A sample recipe is below:

Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie

  • 4 large strawberries
  • 2 kiwi fruits, peeled
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup of your favorite yogurt

Directions: Blend the fruit and milk first until smooth, then add the yogurt and blend for 1 minute. Serve in festive, multi-colored glasses.
