 Vol XXV, Jan `07 Participating Nursing Homes We are eagerly awaiting February 2007, which marks the end of all three data collection periods. Our analysis plan is at the ready and, as mentioned previously, our analyst is preparing the statistical programming and the tables in which we will present our data. When we have the data in hand, we will assess the pain and pressure ulcer process of care measures over time. Each arm of the study received training in one of the two clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) and will serve as the control for the other arm of the study; our plan is to evaluate whether homes had greater improvement in their assigned clinical topic. In next month’s newsletter, we will present information about the process of care measures, to remind you about the type of improvement that we hope to capture among participating facilities. |
