 Vol XXXII, Sep `07 One of the new features of the site is the calendar feature that will list upcoming meetings and events that may be of interest to AMDA members as well as members of the Foundation’s Research Network. Registered users may also suggest events to be included to the interactive calendar. Another site element is the photo gallery where pictures from past Foundation events as well as a preview of art auction items will be displayed. New this year is online submission for both the Futures and Quality Improvement Awards programs. Please be sure to check out the “Virtual” Wall of Caring In past years, the Wall of Caring has only been available to attendees at the AMDA Annual Symposium. With the new site, members can make donations at any time during the year and post a note or tribute to the Wall. The AMDA Foundation’s Wall of Caring offers members and others the opportunity to honor their mentors, colleagues, patients, and loved ones. This inspiring and visual tribute is dedicated to those individuals whose unwavering support, wisdom and grace have supported medical direction and improved long term care. Contributors to the Wall of Caring may write messages to honor those individuals who have inspired them. Contributions to the Wall of Caring are tax-deductible and support the AMDA Foundation’s mission to “advance excellence in patient care through research and its translation into long term care practice to support the members and mission of the American Medical Directors Association (AMDA). |
