Foundation Has Active Presence at Annual Symposium |

 Vol XXXIII, Jan '08 The AMDA Foundation is a key part of the Annual Symposium. The following are among the Foundation activities set for Salt Lake City:
- During Friday’s General Session, Foundation Chair Jonathan Musher, MD, CMD, will offer the Foundation update and present the 2008 AMDA Foundation/ Pfizer Quality Improvement Awards. The 2007 winners will present the findings from their studies in a Friday session from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm.
- The AMDA Foundation/Evercare® Award is a new Foundation program, and the first awards will also be presented during Friday’s General Session. The award recognizes nursing facilities that have implemented programs to improve the quality of life of their residents. Winners will present their award winning programs during a session on Friday, March 7 from 1:30 pm –3:00 pm.
- The AMDA Foundation-Translating Research into Practice (TRIP) session on Friday, March 7 will discuss the TRIP initiative to translate research findings and incorporate them into practice. Former Foundation Chair David Polakoff, MD, will lead this session. The discussion will focus on the Foundation’s recently completed LTC-QI study on the AMDA pain and pressure ulcer CPGs.
