New IRB for RN

The Research Network will be seeking oversight from a new IRB for all of its studies. After several years working with the Michigan State University IRB, the Network now will utilize the IRB at Wright State University exclusively. “Dr. Larry Lawhorne, who was our contact at Michigan, has moved to Wright State and we are following him there.

As a former Research Network Director, he knows our organization and we have a strong relationship with him,” says Joe Tkacz, the Foundation’s Senior Research Project Coordinator. He adds, “Additionally, Wright State’s IRB is a small organization and we anticipate the opportunity to develop a closer, more personal relationship with the group. This ultimately will benefit the Network, our members, and our studies.”
