Watch for these Foundation-related programs and activities at the AMDA Annual Symposium in Charlotte, March 5-8:

 

  • Friday’s general session (8 am in the Convention Center, Ballroom C/D) will feature Foundation Chair Jonathan Musher, MD, CMD, presenting an update on Foundation activities and research projects. During this time, he also will present the 2009 AMDA Foundation/Pfizer QI Award and the AMDA Foundation/Evercare® Awards.
  • A special AMDA Foundation Quality Improvement session will include a keynote presentation by Mary Jane Koren, MD, MPH, Vice President of The Commonwealth Fund. Additionally, the recipients of the 2008 Pfizer QI award and the 2009 AMDA Foundation/ Evercare® Award will present their quality improvement programs. This program is set for Friday, March 6, from 3:30-5:00 pm in the Convention Center (room 212 A/B).
  • The Research Network session, set for Saturday, March 7, from 4:00-6:00 pm in the Convention Center (room 211 A/B), will feature David Polakoff, MD, CMD, and Stefan Gravenstein, MD, CMD discussing research opportunities and challenges in long term care.
