Each year, the Foundation recognizes talented, visionary, and passionate researchers with the AMDA Foundation/Pfizer Quality Improvement Awards. The 2009 Award Committee, working under its chair, Leslie Libow, MD, CMD, was pleased to announce this year’s winners during the AMDA Annual Symposium in Charlotte. Participants will present their preliminary findings at next year’s Annual Symposium.

The AMDA Foundation/Evercare® Awards, “Improving the Quality of Life for Persons Living in Nursing Homes,” recognized three innovative and important programs. The awards, supported by Evercare, are based on programs nursing facilities have implemented and demonstrated to improve the quality of life for their long term care residents. Recipients of the 2009 awards are:
