Several studies have documented the positive impact the presence of animals has on long-term care facility residents. As a result, many facilities have resident animals or programs that provide visits from pets in the community at large; and some even allow residents to have their own pets (as long as they are able to care for them). In order to recognize the role of pets in enhancing resident quality of life and those canine caregivers who make a difference in the lives of our residents in long-term care, the AMDA Foundation will publish an 18-month (2010-2011) full-color calendar featuring photos and stories of Caring Canines. Earlier this year we held a nationwide campaign to find deserving dogs to highlight in our first ever Caring Canine Calendar. The response was outstanding! Ordering is easy and at $19.95 each, it is the perfect holiday gift for colleagues, family, and friends. In addition to the convenience of ordering online, there is a discount when you purchase multiple copies. The more you order, the bigger the discount! Click here to place your order now!
