Jack & Banx, Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay

Jack and Banx are a father and son Certified Therapy Dog team. They have been actively working in our community ever since they trained and passed their required therapy test. Their local therapy work includes: Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, Buddy Brigade and their child abuse program, Sentara Leigh Hospital, Virginia Oncology Associates, Westminster Canterbury, Hunt Club Farm and several reading programs with local libraries.

Banx is a bright, camera-ready, action kind of a boy. He has been seen on television promoting therapy dog programs and was even called to Obici Hospital after our area was struck by a severe tornado.  Banx also enjoys his annual ride on the Santa Float in the Virginia Beach Christmas Parade. Jack on the other hand, always goes with the flow and looks for the next belly rub. When they are not working, they love to train, spend time with their grandma, play in their pool and go for ice cream. They have many friends, both human and canine. Together, they get along like life long best friends.

I am both honored and proud to say my team is ready to heal and rescue whenever called upon; they are available to serve around the clock. What a gift they are to both our family and our community.
