Molly, Wellington Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing

Molly has been the leader in our Pet Therapy program here at Wellington Manor for four years. She has made all the difference in the world to our residents who love to pet and hold her. For many of our residents who are dog lovers, Molly is the highlight of their day. They love to walk her, play tug of war with her, or simply have her cuddle upon their lap as they watch a movie together. One of our residents is a big fan of Molly.  She said, "Molly is so loveable. I had a dog when I lived on my own, his name was Bandit. I had to let my daughter take him when it was time for me to come to the nursing home, and he passed away shortly after. It broke my heart and I missed him every day. Molly has helped me through that pain. When I see her peeking into my room, I can’t help but to smile. Molly makes me feel wanted and loved, and I know that Bandit would be happy that I have found a companion in my new home.”

Molly continues to be our resident’s favorite in the pet therapy program. Belonging to our Activities Director, she comes to us every Monday thru Friday from seven in the morning until three in the afternoon.
