Speaking engagements, participation on advisory board, and other paid professional activities give you an opportunity to contribute to the body of knowledge about long term care and help educate other practitioners. Now, these activities enable you to contribute to the AMDA Foundation and the Futures program through the Foundation’s “Give Us a Day!” campaign.


Now you can donate the honorarium for a program or presentation to the Foundation. By giving the benefit of a day of your time, you will help support efforts to inspire and educate current and future long term care professionals.

AMDA President David Brechtelsbauer, MD, CMD, kicked off the program by contributing an honorarium he recently received. He dedicated his generous contribution in honor of the Nebraska Medical Directors Association. In addition to listing donors’ names on a special Honor Roll prominently displayed at the Wall of Caring in Long Beach next March, the Foundation will recognize these individuals in a special item in JAMDA.

This program truly is win-win. If you would like to participate but have few opportunities to speak or participate on boards, the Foundation will add you to its Speakers Bureau—which will increase your opportunities and exposure.
