The first annual Foundation silent auction of books, held in Long Beach at Long Term Care Medicine 2010, brought in nearly $4,000. This included a framed photograph by AMDA member Jeffrey Levine, MD, CMD generously donated by the artist. Now the Foundation is seeking donations for next year’s auction. Specifically, we are looking for books with a medical, long term care, or aging theme—preferably signed by the author.

We will also accept signed books with a non-medical theme, including children’s books that might be of interest to AMDA members. As a companion to the Caring Canines project, we also would like donations of dog/pet-related books.
