Vol VI, Feb '12 At Long Term Care Medicine—2012, it will be easy for you to help other young physicians enjoy the information, networking, and skill-building of the AMDA Foundation Futures Program. Just visit participating exhibitors (view a list online prior to the meeting at www.LTCmedicine.com), and they will donate $1 for your visit to the Futures Program.
This is part of AMDA’s new “Stop By-Give Back” program, an innovative
initiative that allows you to support the Futures program while visiting
exhibits.
“For every long term care AMDA member, we need at least two—and
preferably more—coming up in the ranks. It is essential that we capture
every geriatric fellow not only to stimulate growth in our field but
also to continue to raise the bar for medical direction in long term
care,” said Cari Levy, MD, CMD, co-chair of the Futures Program and a
Futures alumna. In recent years, industry sponsorship for such programs
has dwindled, and the Foundation has used grassroots fundraising efforts
with state chapters, physician practices, and others to support the
Futures Program. The Stop By--Give Back initiative will help encourage a
new generation of physicians to become LTC leaders.
